CPPC member, Zhou Hongyi, co-founder and president of the Internet security company, Qihoo 360, told China News Service of State on Sunday that the greatest risk linked to artificial intelligence technology was delayed in the AI breed.
“We must neither exaggerate nor ignore the security problems related to AI,” said Zhou. “Some leading AI companies in the United States exaggerate AI security issues as an excuse for not having open source products because they are looking for a monopoly, so latecomers cannot catch up.”
Zhou said China must “understand correctly” AI security problems.
“POSSER development (of AI) is the greatest risk of security,” he said. “We must seize this AI opportunity to improve productivity and allow everyone to benefit from the fruits of the inclusiveness of science and technology.”
