THE IA security and governance report Released by Immuta reveals the attitudes of data experts towards artificial intelligence (AI). The report has revealed that a majority of data experts (80%) agree that AI increases data security challenges. There are a range of data security problems that managers associate with AI.
- 55% say that the possibility that sensitive information can be exposed inadvertently by important language models (LLM) is their greatest concern.
- 52% fear that sensitive information can be exposed to LLM via user prompts.
- 52% cite the possibility of AI attacks via threat actors and 57% declare an increase in attacks led by AI in the past year.
Although the report has found concerns about AI, he also found that many data leaders (85%) are confident in the data security strategy of their organizations and believe that it will follow the pace of AI technology evolution.
Respondents use AI as follows:
- Advanced encryption (28%)
- Detection of anomalies (14%)
- Development of safety applications (14%)
- Phishing detection (13%)
- Safety awareness training (13%)
The AI is also deployed to defend sensitive information, 40% of data leaders indicating that the most promising progression is the detection systems of threats supplied by AI.
