This feature automatically detects the content linked to the calendar in emails and incorporates them into the user calendar.
Google introduced new feature In Gmail, powered by his AI Gemini, allowing users to add events to their Google calendar in a transparent manner.
From this week, Gmail Users can click on a “Add to the calendar” button when Gemini detects the content-related content in an email, simplifying the event planning process directly from emails.
Currently available in English and only for web users, functionality is part of Google Workspace offers, targeting commercial and business level users, as well as customers subscribed to Gemini Premium plans.
In particular, it does not include the addition of other guests to the event or does not apply to certain pre-extract events such as the restaurant or flight reservations.
This addition follows other updates propelled by Gemini, such as summary features by e-mail and improved search capacities, and aims to rationalize the workflow for users.
While Google continues to extend the tools fueled by AI within Gmail, this new feature also demonstrates the integration of advanced AI into productivity applications.
