According to the official Xinhua news agency, Huang met He Lifeng, the Chinese vice-president in charge of US-Chinese trade negotiations. Xinhua quoted Huang saying that Nvidia would deepen her presence on the Chinese market because of her positive vision of China’s economic perspectives.
The vice-president told Huang that China welcomes American companies, including Nvidia, to invest in the country to present their “industrial advantages and capacities”, according to the brief declaration of Xinhua.

Huang was accompanied by his visit by Jay Puri, Executive Vice-President of World Affairs of Nvidia, and Raymond Teh, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing of Nvidia for the Asia-Pacific region. Their “mission” was to reassure Chinese officials and customers that the company intends to maintain trade links despite American restrictions, according to SU Lian Jye, chief analyst of the OMDIA research company.
“China remains important because of its market size and its desire to invest (in AI),” said Su.
