If you have a Graphics card of the new RTX 50 seriesOr something just as capable, and I want to try Nvidia’s Demo Zorah for yourself, you can now. Initially unveiled alongside its RTX 50 graphics cards at CES 2025, the new NVIDIA demo allows you to see how advanced radius and neural shaders could make the games of the future the photo limit.
Graphic demos are nothing new in the games – I still remember being blown away by 3DMARK 2001 Elevator scene inspired by the matrix. But that does not mean that they cannot continue to impress when something really happened to the next generation happens. The Nvidia Zorah was its window of everything related to the RTX 50 series in CES, incorporating the DLSS 4 scaling, the generation of frames, advanced lighting effects and new neuronal characteristics such as texture compression and advanced rendering techniques.
The final result is breathtaking, and now you can perform it on your own equipment. If you think your PC is up to the challenge, of course.
You will need more than 100 GB of space to install the demo in the first place, and ideally a high -end Nvidia graphics card. The demo uses a range of RTX features, in particular RTX texture filtering, neural materials, neuronal texture compression, rendering of RTX characters, mega geometry, neural faces and RTX hair, among others. It can also take advantage of NVIDIA RT nuclei to feed the tracing of the shelves. Although the RX 9000 series of AMD has made great progress in Ray traced by enlightening this generation, it is still not as capable as the best of Nvidia on this front.
It is not only a visual showcase of what Nvidia developers can manage, however. This is an overview of what the future of the game could be. It will take many years before seeing something like that in a general public game – most players always play on a RTX 3060, after all. But the potential is certainly there, a few generations on the whole line.
A new generation Xbox or a PlayStation console could be able to do something a bit like that.
We will have to see some of the mature AI technologies before we can say it with certainty. Compression of neural texture reducing the requests of VRAM, and Ai. Allow higher images frequencies even when the game seems to all make a huge difference in the future. But everything is still relatively new and artifacts are always a problem, especially with the framework generation. But in a few years? Color me excited.
