To raise awareness of this question, Festo didactic And Sick have created a safety awareness -raising training set which focuses on robot risk assessments and related security implementations. This package includes a Festo didactic manufacturing production system and a simulated intelligent factory with a six -axis robot, scanners in the sick area, a safety PLC and a safety relay.
Although this security awareness plan has been established in several community colleges and universities across the country, its use is not limited to students. Industry workers can also register during safety awareness to increase their knowledge of robotics.
Beyond helping students and workers understand the importance of risk assessments, the training course also helps them understand what to do with the digital data captured in the process. The study program includes a six -step method concerning the safety of robotics and automation equipment to ensure that students include risk assessments, safe design, technical protection measures, administrative information on Residual risks and validation and deployment of the machine.
Festo and Sick have designed the study program to be an agnostic robot so that it can be used by all robot manufacturers.
