Google has published its improved AI model, Gemini 2.0 today and will launch this progress in Google Search and the IA previews. Google AI glimps should be able to “tackle more complex subjects and questions in several stages, including advanced mathematical equations, multimodal requests and coding”, Google wrote.
Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google wrote: “No product has been transformed more by AI than research.”
IA preview
Google is already tested using Gemini 2.0 for IA previews. Google said that it “brings the advanced reasoning capacities of Gemini 2.0 to AI previews to approach more complex subjects and questions in several stages, including advanced mathematical equations, multimodal requests and coding”.
Google has already started limited tests this week of this updated model for IA previews. Google said they “will deploy more at the start of next year”. “And we will continue to bring IA overviews to more countries and languages over the next year,” added Google.
Gemini 2.0 and other Google research
Google also uses research with Gemini 2.0 in other areas, including:
- Gemini 2.0 Flash takes advantage of Google research
- Gemini 2.0 with Project Astra can use Google Search, Lens and Maps
- GENIE 2: These types of agents can even use Google Knowledge of knowledge on web game
