I only used one image that I created with Midjourney, for a blog article. It was a fun process, but the image itself is of low quality and has random elements that have no meaning. With Midjourney, you get four square images as outing and you can ask to regenerate different versions of each of them. I became frustrated to think that I could not make a little change for an image that I liked otherwise, or that Midjourney seemed to generate only square images, which is not what I needed for blog articles.
I later discovered that the addition of image dimensions at the prompt creates non -steel images, and when I do research for this article, I learned that Midjourney published the instruction at the end of August 2023, allowing you to select parts of the image and modify them separately. This is what happens when non -technical people use technology; I can’t blame I for that.
The most controversial subscription that I am happy to pay is Chatgpt +, for $ 20 per month. Chatgpt recently crossed the 100 million active users mark and completely transformed the AI landscape. I am surprised at the number of writers who publicly make fun of the Chatppt, while almost all the writers I know use – but not for writing.
By definition, you cannot use Chatgpt for a really creative work, because its output is “based on existing data and programmed algorithms”. He can only summarize, distill, copy and paste. I use it to learn the basics of concepts, devices, periods or events on which I write and use this basic explanation as a starting point for research. I use Chatgpt to find synonyms and alternatives to whole sentences. I can quickly reduce research studies and articles because I can look for very specific prompts rather than keywords or simple terms. Unfortunately, Chatgpt knowledge data is not up to date, which will not find the most recent studies. I love it for brainstorming titles and chapter and section titles. It is also ideal for checking the title of title and correct quotation formatting. In other words, Chatgpt is my single counter assistant instead of switching between Google, my thesaurus, my search database and the CMOS shaping tool.
As Ghostwriter, I regularly record interviews with authors to collect the content of the book, so I started using Otter.a To transcribe these calls. Transcriptions are generally good, but the technology is glitch, continues to connect and go out, and only transcribe up to 90 minutes at a time, even with a paid version. Worse, Otter joins your meetings even if you don’t. This is the default parameter, and even when you deactivate it, the function still deviates and leads to the Otter assistant who appears without an invitation. The default parameter also allows the platform to send an email to everyone in the transcription meeting and invite them to start a free trial, which is weird some of my customers. I am always looking for the perfect automated tool that records the video and the audio separately and provides a transcription without being frightening AF.
My initial Fomo ended up costing me a lot of time and money, but also gave me some clarity. It turns out that even if I would like to sit at the cool table, I teach myself more to look like than to look without a carrier. I trust the changes in my own voice on Chatgpt, and you should also. Everything should not be captured, As the Otter CEO maintains. In fact, it is the ephemeral nature of the undocumented moments that make me feel the most alive. But that does not mean that I will tire of learning the new tool of AI promising the closest thing to the magic I have ever seen.
So here is my super official ranking of all the tools I have used so far:
- The most ridiculous: Aragon.a For head shots
- Most expensive: Adcreativai For advertisements and social publications
- The most value: Cloth To design anything
- Most work to get good outings: Media
- The most glitch and frustrating: Otter.a
- Most coherent use: Cat
After giving the instant vacation as my profile photo, I called the friend who always has an eye for my best angles while capturing my most recognizable facial expressions.
It turns out that yes, she is to hire as a photographer.
