The board of directors of secondary education, Assam (SEBA) announced the introduction of a new elective subject, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, the 2024-2025 academic session.

The PDF version of the book is available on its official website, www.sebaonline.org, in the textbooks, said leaders of the SEBA.
The notification indicates the practical brands of all professional subjects – AI and robotics, design of clothes, wood, music, dance, yoga and physical education, fine arts, sciences of the House, weaving and textile design, in addition to the subjects under NSQF (framework for national skills qualifications) must be 50% compared to the 2024-2025 academic session itself.
However, practical notes for IT and trade will be 30%, as before.
In addition, the system for carrying out practical examinations in the notified examination centers has also been deleted with completely.
SEBA has also announced that a new examination format for HSLC 2025.
He revealed that the HSLC 2025 exam will have four sets of separate questions (A, B, C&D) for the multiple multiple objective format (OMR). This restructuring should improve the evaluation process.
Another important change is that the “internal district level examination committee” will now carry out practical exams of all subjects. This decentralized approach aims to rationalize the evaluation of practical skills acquired by students.
In language subjects like English, questions will not be strictly limited to prescribed lessons or chapters. Instead, the emphasis will be placed on the assessment of the overall learning results of the subjects, allowing a more complete evaluation.
For scientific and mathematical materials, while questions can still be derived from textbooks, examples and references beyond textbooks can also be included. In addition, examinations may require summons or calculations depending on the specific learning results of the covered content. SEBA has announced that the model of questions for professional subjects will also have changes to the new guidelines described in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
