Generative AI holds promise for academics who struggle with teaching loads that AI could help alleviate, but many are unsure of what tools to use or how to keep up with the rapidly changing technology – and have little time to find out. Learn about “AI Trends for Student Assessment” in our upcoming webinar.
In the area of student assessment, as important as efficiencies are AI tools that can support qualitative improvements in student learning through personalized pathways, automated grading and feedback improved, for example.
In the “Trends in AI for Student Assessment” webinar, educational experts will highlight AI developments in measuring and improving student performance. This is the first in a series of webinars on key developments in higher education organized by News from the academic world (UWN) and ABET, the global non-profit quality assurance and accreditation agency.
Student assessment is an area of teaching and learning that has been profoundly affected by the explosion of generative AI over the past two years. Experts will present ideas, research and information that will help academics and university staff understand how AI is evolving in relation to facets of student assessment, as well as what appears to be working and some of the challenges faced .
As such, the UWN-ABET webinar series will provide both high-level thinking that is of interest to academics and practical advice that will help them navigate higher education in a time of great uncertainty.
Join us at 4:00 p.m. (GMT) on Tuesday, January 21 for this one-hour webinar. Participants will be able to ask questions arising from their needs and experiences or from the experts’ presentations.
What types of AI tools and approaches can effectively support assessment activities such as organizing tests, grading, and personalizing feedback for students? How can academics make the most of AI for assessment while avoiding pitfalls?
