Anthropic released A new model of reasoning of AI today called Claude 3.7 Sonnet, as well as a Agentic Coding tool called Claude Code.
Claude 3.7 Sonnet can manage two types of information processing at the same time, which is why Anthropic calls it the “first hybrid reasoning model”. It can produce “almost instantaneous responses” or engage in a stretched thought and step by step visible for the user.

Users can choose if they want the model to answer quickly or think longer before responding. Claude is known for his solid coding chops, and with Claude Code, the developers can “delegate substantial engineering tasks to Claude directly from their terminal”. It acts as “an active collaborator who can search and read code, modify files, write and perform tests, commit and push code to Github, and use command lines – keeping you in the loop each stage.”
Anthropic says that these types of agent capacities are a step above the technology that it made its debut in 2024, and on the road to a world where Claude can “find revolutionary solutions” in itself in 2027.
