In the middle of recent reports From Apple to difficulty in its AI efforts, in particular with Siri, a new analyst report indicates that the company is about to set a billion dollars of new purchases of NVIDIA IA servers.
Apple would have ordered hundreds of NVIDIA AI servers

Loop Capital Ananda Baruah analyst on Monday said Apple said Apple was placing orders for around 1 billion dollars in Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems. This is equivalent to around 250 servers to $ 3.7 million to $ 4 million each, he said in a customer note.
Apple works with Server Builders Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer on its large cluster of servers to support AI generating applications, said Baruah.
“AAPPL is officially in the GEN AI game of the Grand Gen AI server … and SMCI & DELL are the partners of the key servers,” he said. “While we always collect a more complete context, it seems to have the potential to be a Gen Ai LLM cluster (Grand Language model).”
There seems to be a lot of speculation in the report on the planned uses of new servers, but this type of investment in the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 points in a clear direction.
The reports have indicated in the past that Apple Develop your own chip intended for the use of the server.
However, it seems that progress on this front moves more slowly than expected, or that Apple decided that it had to complete with the servers of Nvidia.
In all cases, this is additional proof of Apple’s efforts to be well equipped for years of investment in AI to come.
