Cat was broken for many users earlier this week and people were unable to access their cat history. Records soon, suggesting that some chatgpt users saw someone else’s conversations in their cat history bar. Bloomberg reported that it was due to a bug and OPENAIThe company that has developed Chatgpt, had closed the chatbot for some time. Now, the CEO of the company has confirmed that the “important problem” in Chatgpt was (indeed) because of a bug and the company resolved it.
“We have had an important problem in Chatgpt due to an buckt in an open source library, for which a fix has now been published and we have just finished validation”, ” Sam AltmanCEO of Openai, tweeted, adding that “a small percentage of users could see the titles of the history of the conversations of other users”.
The fix would have solved the problem and the members of the Toui-Gadgets are now able to access their cat history.
Altman also noted that the company “would follow up with a technical post-mortem” but provided no calendar on the same.
What was the problem
The problem started on Monday March 21, when users were unable to access Chatgpt. Some Gobets Toupi-Gadgets have now also encountered problems and said that the conversation had not advanced beyond two questions.
They were also welcomed by “History is temporarily unavailable. We work to restore this functionality as soon as possible ”.
Openai said they had identified the deep cause of the problem “and worked on resolution”, however, that did not listed what caused the problem at that time. A few hours later, the company said that the conversational function of Chatgpt had been restored and that the problems linked to history were still being resolved.
Chatgpt “mixed” cat stories
Tuesday, March 22, people were still faced with problems related to history and some claimed that they could see the discussions of others in their side of history. Above the same time, a Bloomberg report made spins on the internet claiming that Optai closed the chatbot for a while in response to a bug.
The report also quoted a spokesperson for the company financed by Microsoft who said that people were able to see “only descriptive titles” of cat stories and not complete transcriptions of conversations, of certain other users.
Open “ warning ” to users
OPENAI has recommended that users “do not share any sensitive information in your conversations” because user conversations can be examined by AI trainers to improve systems.
