Christie, the Global visual and audio technology companyprovided its laser projectors and image processing solutions for Gyeongnam Masan Robot Land in South Korea.
Christie is proud to announce that she has installed a range of laser projectors and real -time video processing and control systems in the first robot theme park in the world in South Korea. Gyeongnam Masan Robot Land is the first themed park dedicated to intelligent robotics and benefits from spectacular visuals thanks to Christie’s solutions.
The innovative attraction is in the city of Changwon, on the south-eastern coast of the country. Over 1.25 million square meters, it includes a research and development center, a congress center and a theme park.
Robotics meet entertainment
The main attractions of the park combine the technology and entertainment of robotics, to provide a unique experience to visitors. They are fed by the Christie GS series and the Laser HS Series 1DLP projectors, as well as the single players from Christie Pandoras Box, the double and Quad Octo servers, the Box Pandoras manager and the widget designer. The installation was carried out by Christie’s Korean Partners Star Networks and Digital Line Technology Group (DLT Group).

Transport visitors to futuristic worlds
In total, 48 DWU850-GS and eight Laser D13WU-HS projectors are used throughout the park. These are supplemented by several Christie Pandoras box systems, which provide real-time video processing and show control. The DWU850-GS projectors provide in-depth projection map, immersing guests in futuristic and high-tech worlds.
In addition to that, D13WU-HS projectors are used in a full flying theater called “Wing of Cosmos”. Here, visitors enjoy a deeply engaging experience, thanks to the full 20 meter high screen and 4K resolution content, fully produced by DLT Group. It also offers audio and surrounding movement seats and has already turned out to be a favorite for visitors.
A very entertaining experience
Christie Pandoras Box forms the backbone of the themed park attractions by connecting all audiovisual systems and by controlling various aspects of demonstrations such as projection mapping, mixing, multichannel audio and lighting. In addition to this, the widget designer acts as the main graphic user interface.
