In a context of disintegration and increase in AI trends, Dell has announced refreshments of its Poweredge, PowerStore, ObjectCale, PowerProtect storage systems.
Dell announces both the advances of the server and storage. He says that his customers must take charge of existing and traditional workloads and provide it with generators’ tasks. A server, storage and disintegrated networking architecture best suits this and is based on three -level and hyperconvering infrastructure conceptions, with a separate scaling for the three components collected together in shared resources pools.

The president of the Dell Infrastructure Solutions group, Arthur Lewis, said: “From storage to servers to data protection networking, only Dell Technologies provides an end -to -end infrastructure portfolio that helps customers reduce complexity, increase computer agility and accelerate the modernization of data.”
The Poweredge R470, R570, R670 and R770 dell servers are equipped with Intel Xeon 6 processors with performance hearts. These are simple and double -base servers in the 1U and 2U form factors designed for traditional and emerging workloads such as HPC, virtualization, analysis and IA inference.
Our goal is here on the advertisements of storage products, which cover the unified file and the block PowerStore ArraysCloud-native ObjectiveSCALE-OUT CLUSTER Power scale DELL DELLIQUE FIRST SYPHER SYSTEM Powerprotect Systems developed from previous data networks.
Powerstore
A version of the PowerStore V4.1 software provides AI -based analyzes to detect potential problems before they occur, the opening of automatic support tickets, forecasting the carbon footprint, support for DOD CAC / PIV cards, renewal of automated certificates and improved integration of PowerProtect by storage. This allows up to 4x backup and support for the latest PowerProtect systems; the DD6410 device and the nodes ready for the brilliance (see below).

The software provides better monitoring of storage efficiency, now covering file and block data, and snow -covered snapshots, completing existing file level retention (FLR) and other local, remote and based on the cloud.
It offers QOS of the file system with more granular performance checks. Dell Unity customers migrating to Powerstore can preserve their existing functionality from the Cloud Rhythm (CTA) appliance. Archived files remain fully accessible and customers can create new archiving policies for migrate file systems on PowerStore.

Objective
ObjectScale is storage software on scale and containerized objects operating on DHW hardware nodes. Until now, there have been three DHW hardware boxes: ex500 (12-24 hard disks, at 7.68 pb / rack), ex 5000 (100 hard drives, 14 pb / rack) and All-Flash Exf900 (12-24 SSD NVME, at 24.6 pb / rack).
The new objectscale V4.0 software benefits from intelligent rebalancing, better space recovery and capacity use. He also extended system health measures, alert and safety improvements. Dell claims that it offers “the storage of the most cyber-security objects in the world”.
There are two new objective systems. The all-Flash XF960 would be designed for IA workloads and is an evolution of the EXF900. It has in -depth material advances based on Poweredge servers and offers up to 2 times more flow per node than the closest but nameless competitor, and up to 8 times more density than the EXF900.

The X560 based on the hard drive accelerates the media, the backup and the formation of IA models ingest workloads with a small object reading 83% higher than the EX500 software running V3.8.
Dell is associated with the S3 compatible cloud storage supplier Wasabi To introduce Wasabi with Dell ObjectScale, a hybrid cloud storage service with levels from 25 TB of storage reserved per month. Wasabi has global infrastructure, with more than 100,000 customers in 15 commercial cloud regions and two government regions worldwide.
More new objects are expected at the next World Technologies World Conference.
Power scale
PowerScale All-Flash F710 and F910 nodes obtain SOLIGM SSD support for 122 TB, double the storage density. This, with 24 bays in their 2RU chassis and the reduction of data 2: 1, provides almost up to 6 pb of effective capacity per node. Dell says it is the first supplier to offer a business storage system with such SSDs.

The nodes of the Powerscale Archive A and Hybrid H – H710, H7100, A310, A3100 series – have lower latencies and faster performance with an updated calculation module for hard drive -based products. Dell says that series A is optimized for TCO, while the H series provides a balance of balanced cost / performance. The updated nodes function:
- CPUS Rapids Intel Xeon Sapphire of fourth generation
- DDR5 Dram with a speed and a bandwidth up to 75% higher
- NVME M.2 Persistent flash vault drives offering faster cache dismissed and recovery
- Improvement of thermal operation reducing heat and constraint on components
- Reader transporter updated with 100% higher speed for SAS discs
Dell will introduce the support for 32 TB Hamr Disk Drive Technology later this year with a “extensive useful lifespan”.
A PowerScale 1ru A110 accelerator node is a successor to performance and backup of the preceding P100 and B100 generation. It is designed to solve the processor’s strangulation bottlenecks and increase the overall performance of the cluster with a higher cluster bandwidth. The A110 can be on an independent scale by unique node increments.
Powerprotect
There are three main developments here. First, the PowerProtect DD6410 is a new entry -level system with a capacity of 12 TB at 256 TB. It is aimed at commercial environments, small businesses and distant sites, with up to 91% faster restorations than the DD6400, up to 65x deduction and the scalability of traditional and modern workloads.
Second, the PowerProtect All-Flash node has a capacity of 220 TB with more than 61% faster catering speeds, up to 36% less power and a smaller 5x imprint than the PowerProtect DD6410 device. It does not support the 122 SSD TOs, built with QLC 3D Nand, because their writing speed is not fast enough.
The DD6410 node and the ready -to -use node all flash supports direct storage protection with PowerStore and Powermax, providing faster, effective and secure recovery and recovery.

Third, an update of PowerProtect Datamanager software reduces the risk of cybersecurity with detection of anomalies. This has “automatic learning capacities to identify vulnerabilities in the backup environment, allowing forty compromise assets. It provides an early overview of the detection of threats in the emergency environment while completing the in-depth cybersense of the criminalic recovery data in the Cyber Recovery Vault, providing cyber resiliation at the end of the end of protected resources. “
In addition to VMware, Datamanager now manages Microsoft Hyper-V and Red Hat Openshift Virtualization Virtual Backups. A suggestion of future Nutanix AHV support in Dell has received positive recognition as a possibility.
Datamanager arms the data with objectives for long -term retention. This is not the level with a heel left behind. Archived data can be restored directly without first being rehydrated to a PowerProtect system. Archiving is in S3 compatible object stores.
Datamanager also has multi-system reports which offer centralized visibility and control of up to 150 PowerProtect Data Manager instances.
