Elon Musk, the world’s richest person and President-elect Trump’s new best friend, plans to enter the video game industry by opening a studio.
Musk detailed his vaguely defined plans on X (formerly Twitter), the social network that he bought in October 2022, and which is losing users, particularly since the American presidential election. “Too many game studios… are owned by big companies,” Musk said on the morning of November 27 before announcing that his own big company, xAI, is launching an AI game studio to “make great games again.”
xAI gets billed as “working to build artificial intelligence to accelerate human scientific discovery, (…) guided by our mission to advance our collective understanding of the universe”. The company is perhaps best known for Grok, the ChatGPT-style bot available to X Premium subscribers. Musk founded xAI in March 2023.
Either way, it looks like those of us with interests in this media who have already abandoned X for greener pastures will still have to keep an eye on Musk as he continues to cozy up to the president elected official of the United States, Donald Trump, who has a long history. to favor the affairs of his allies – and to make their enemies his own.
