Gigabyte would have increased the prices of many of its NVIDIA / AMD GPUs in China, indicating that the supply chain is beginning to feel the effects of commercial uncertainty.
The increase in prices of the gigabyte GPU is probably due to tensions in the supply chain, limited to China for the moment
Well, it seems that Gigabyte has become one of the first AIBs to reveal an increase in GPU prices, which we have already seen a long way to come. According to ChiphellIt is reported that Gigabyte has started to circulate an advertisement announcement in China, which involves four different entities, starting with the GeForce RTX 5090D series, the NVIDIA RTX 4060 series and the AMD RX 9070 range. Although the reason for the price increase has not been officially disclosed, it is probably due to the uncertainty of the supply chain and the recent Trump pricing cycle, which has created problems for suppliers such as gigabytes.

The price increase comes from the original price in March, which indicates that we are probably examining a revision of the PDSF for some of these models. Here’s how prices have changed if we take into account the PDSF:
- NVIDIA RTX 5090D (WindForce & Eagle variant) – 16 499 RMB -> 16 999 RMB (+500 RMB)
- NVIDIA RTX 4060 TI – 2 999 RMB -> 3 049 RMB (+50 RMB)
- AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT – 4 999 RMB -> 5.199 RMB (+200 RMB)
- AMD Radeon RX 9070 – 4 499 RMB -> 4 699 RMB (+200 RMB)
The above price increases are calculated on the basis of the regional PDSF and not the real retail price, so that the figures can be lower or higher depending on the availability of these GPUs. Overall, the price increase is not so large, arriving on average from 3% to 4%. The price variation may be due to market conditions and not to new prices, because the prices increase figures are too low to consider them as the consequence of new prices.
Despite all the uncertainty, we have had positive news today, when it was revealed that Trump’s reciprocal prices Exempt PC components and smartphones. This means that the IT consumption industry is generally safe for the moment. However, with the geopolitical tensions that rose, we never really know how consistent these policies are.
