
Google AI mode now allows complex image queries
Google introduced multimodal research into artificial intelligence mode (AI), its Google research experience to provide an improved experience.
Google belonging to Alphabet on Monday, April 7, 2025, revealed that users will be able to ask complex and multi-part and follow-up questions to deepen a subject.
Users who have access to AI mode can now press the functionality to ask questions about the photos they have downloaded or taken with their camera.

In a blog article, the American technology giant said that the new IA image analysis functionality is powered by Google Lens’ multimodal capabilities.
AI mode can understand the whole scene in an image, including the way objects relate to each other, as well as their materials, colors, shapes and arrangements.
Using a technique known as “Fan-Out-out”, the AI mode poses several questions about the image and illustrated objects, providing more detailed information than a traditional Google search.
As part of the announcement on Monday, Google said it made AI mode available to millions of other users registered in laboratories, at the Maison de Google for functionalities and experimental products.
