German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems has already launched a factory and established a separate R&D center in Ukraine. The company plans to double production this year.
This year’s increase in production became known during a meeting between a delegation from the Ministry of Strategic Industry and Industry and representatives of Quantum Systems at the Munich Security Conference.
“The company plans to double production this year. During the meeting, they discussed how this can be accelerated,” the ministry said in a statement.
In the spring of 2024, Quantum Systems opened a factory in Ukraine and began producing Vector reconnaissance drones for the Defense Forces.
The Ukrainian plant is the fourth of the company’s seven plants located around the world. The company plans to invest up to six million euros in the project over the next two years.
Quantum Systems is currently working on integrating sound measurement functionality into its Twister, Vector, and Reliant reconnaissance drones. This will allow the drones to detect enemy artillery and mortar positions at distances of up to 15 km.
