IT was a slight gap compared to the usual panel of the emission of consumption electronics: rather than praising the latest health gadgets to whom participants expect the annual Bonanza of Las Vegas technology, panelists during ‘A session on confidence in AI for health care that has been faced in how to ensure tools do not aggravate inequalities or do not create any new problems for health care providers.
Virtual discussion on Tuesday comes when AI becomes more and more present in medical care – and while the terrain sails how to strengthen confidence in experimental tools. This is a subject with regulators, health workers and developers, and its presence in CES could be considered as a sign that industry recognizes the need for greater transparency on the functioning of tools.
The field of AI clinical tools, including those predicting the risk of death of hospitalized patients, is developing at such a rapid clip that regulations have been delayed. This led to the deployment of individual health systems without standardized approach to educate their staff – feed feelings of fear, doubt and hesitation among health workers.
