Krafton CEO Kim Chang-Han met the CEO of Nvidia, the CEO of Puces in California and discussed the collaboration in the strengthening of games and AI on Thursday.
The meeting comes after Krafton revealed that the two companies developed jointly in an AI companion, nicknamed the co-playable character (CPC), who plays games alongside the user by providing support and instructions in the game, in January.
The CPC is fueled by the small language model on the device of Nvidia, ACE, which allows autonomous avatars in play to “understand the game situations and to respond in real time” which is used for more natural interactions with the players, even by using the “play wire”.
The two leaders exchanged large -scale views on the future direction of technological cooperation, in particular on the development of games with an agency AI and by exploring the potential to develop in robotics, such as humanoids, supplied by the embodied AI, according to Krafton.
The agentic AI refers to systems that make decisions without human intervention while the embodied AI learns and interacts with the world through physical bodies.
Kim expressed his appreciation for collaboration at the meeting, saying: “I am delighted that our collaboration with Nvidia on AI on the devices led to the launch of the first significant product in the play AI”, according to Krafton.
The game publisher expects future collaborations to merger Krafton’s strength more in creative game development capacities and differentiated AI technologies with NVIDIA IA solutions.
Krafton plans to integrate CPC into the IP franchise and the life simulation game of Battle Royale Pubg and life.
The CPC in PUBG, called “Ally PUBG”, will speak with it, will make strategic decisions and dynamically adjust the game strategies in various multiplayer scenarios alongside the player, according to Krafton.
In Inzoi, which recently launched in early access, the CPC “Smart Zoi” interacts with other Zois to simulate the community. Krafton says that Zois acts independently to “spread rumors, follow fashion trends and establish relationships according to their individual life experiences”.
