Nintendo directed Deets on its Hot Switch 2 Hot Switch 2 game consolewhich is on sale on June 5. Well, most of them. The protruding facts include a new 7.9-inch larger screen, storage and pop-off controllers of 256 GB with a “mouse” feature. But there is very little knowledge of the new Nvidia chip (we assume) which feeds all of this.
But let’s start with this screen. It goes from 6.2 inches to the original switch to 7.9 inches. With this increased size comes an upgrade of resolution from 720p to 1080p.
In addition, the screen now supports up to 120 Hz Refresh and HDR, although Nintendo says that these features are out of opposition to Universal. Speaking of game support, not all switch games will be compatible, just a subset.
Why is that, is not clear. It could be a license, or perhaps the new chip fueled by switch 2 is different enough for switching titles inherited to support require a lot of work.
Speaking of resolutions, the new Switch 2 Dock supports the 4K output at 60 Hz, but again, only some game titles will support this outing. The platform also has a fan to keep the cool 2 cool switch. Oh, and this screen is LCD, not OLED. Pity.
SWITCH 2 SPECTS SPECTS:
- 7.9 inch larger 1080p screen
- LCD panel tech with HDR and 120 Hz refreshment
- The new quay has a 4K output and a cooling fan
- The chassis is larger but not thicker than before
- Internal storage upgraded at 256 GB
- MicroSD Express memory card reader
- Detachable controllers now have a “mouse” functionality
- The USB-C port supports the new clip camera
- No official details of the new CPU and the GPU still
- Launches June 5
- Price: $ 449.99 only console | $ 499.99 Mario Kart World Bundle (£ 395.99 | £ 429.99)
Regarding control entries, the new switch 2 again has a pair of clip-on controllers, this time attached via strong magnets for a quick and easy attachment. But the big news with the controllers is that they both offer “mouse” features.
The device itself is not thicker than before, which is good, although the new “mouse” feature seems a little clumsy. The “mouse” is worthy of a full -fledged story, in which you can dig here.
What else? For storage, the Switch 2 improves 32 GB to 256 GB of internal storage, which is a very good boost, and also makes, to move from the management of the microSD memory card to microSD, for much faster data transfer speeds. Although older microSD cards are not compatible.
There is also a new camera for the Switch 2, which connects to the USB-C new port for the switch. Ergonomically, the Switch 2 also has a new kick support which allows a wide range of adjustment in table mode.
Some other features to note, there seem to be some extra-hobby elements. For example, the “game” of Welcome Tour Switch 2, which acts as a manual for Switch 2, is a paid digital title only. Yikes.
You will also have to pay “ upgrade packs ” to play improved original switching games, such as Super Mario Party Jamboree or Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, which have been upgraded for the new laptop. Yuck.
But what about switch 2 chip? Nintendo says Nada. Based on a previous leak of a Switch 2 prototype ( Chip nvidia derived from an ASIC automobile and known as T239.
According to this analysis, it is built on Samsung 8 Nm Tech and is linked in GPU terms to the GPU of the Ampère or RTX series of Nvidia. He will apparently obtain 1,536 Cuda cores, which, for reference, is less than 2,560 cores in an RTX 3050 and the 3,072 inch and RTX 4060, but a huge boost compared to the 256 cores of the Maxwell era of the original switch.
Traditionally, Nintendo does not become terribly granular about specifications like this, so we may have to wait for the first tears of the aircraft for a kind of confirmation. In the meantime, the Switch 2 looks like a fairly smooth device with solid specifications that make sense for the public market public. We can’t wait to do so for a tour.
