Blackwell factories to take root in Arizona and Texas
NVIDIA is making its production of a AI and Superwards in the United States, planning to fully produce its Blackwell architecture inside American borders.
This decision sees the graphic giant working with key manufacturing partners to build more than a million square feet of space for blackwell flea tests in Arizona and AI Supercompleut Assembly in Texas. The longtime rival of Chipzilla in difficulty is clearly enough to count on the Asian supply lines.
The Silicon Blackwell is already in production at the TSMC Phoenix Fabs, while supercomputer facilities are underway with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. NVIDIA expects mass production to be marched in the two Texan factories in the next 12 to 15 months.
The packaging and tests will not be left at random either. Nvidia locks the agreements with AMKOR and SPIL to manage these operations in Arizona, ensuring that its kit does not leave the country once it exceeds the line.
Over the next four years, NVIDIA said it will produce up to half a bill of ia infrastructure dollars in the United States, working alongside TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor and Spil. The idea is to develop the technological base while making the supply chain a little less wobbly.
Nvidia believes that these “Gigawatt AI factories” will pilot the next phase of its data center empire, which is now completely revolving around artificial intelligence. The company insists that these tentacular configurations will create hundreds of thousands of jobs and will inject the American economy in the long term.
NVIDIA chief Jensen Huang said: “IA global infrastructure engines are under construction in the United States for the first time. The addition of American manufacturing helps us to better meet the incredible and growing demand for fleas and AI supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain and increases our resilience. ”
The company will rely on its own AI, robotics and digital twin tools to execute everything, using Nvidia Omovers to simulate factories and its Isaac Gr00T robots to manage manufacturing grunts.
