Today, we have two nice technical demos to share with our Nvidia fans. The first shows the RTX Mega Geometry Tech, while the second focuses on the compression of RTX neuronal texture.
The good news here is that these technological demos work on just about all RTX GPUs. In other words, they are not exclusive to the RTX50 series. Thus, anyone who has a RTX GPU can download and try them.
RTX Mega Geometry accelerates the BVH building, allowing Ray to draw up to 100 times more triangles than today’s standard. RTX Mega Geometry intelligently updates the clusters of triangles in lots on the GPU. In theory, this should reduce the general processor costs and increase performance and image quality in the shelves drawn. In addition, this can reduce the consumption of VRAM.
On the other hand, the RTX neuronal texture compression uses AI to compress textures. As such, it can reduce the use of VRAM up to eight times while preserving visual integrity. This is a cool technology that will help all GPUs that have less than 16 GB of VRAM in future titles. Well, this is provided that the games support it.
You can download these technical demos from here And here. Once you have downloaded the SDKs, you can find the demos inside their folders. Since they are demos of SDKs, they may not impress you. So be sure to temper your expectations.
You will find below a video for the RTX neural texture compression. Unfortunately, I did not find it for the RTX Mega Geometry demo.
Overall, two technicians should benefit all RTX owners. It is a crucial detail. Compared to the multi-trames generation, RTXMG and RTXNTC are supported by all RTX GPUs. So the question is now whether the developers will benefit from it.
Congratulations to our reader “PZ” for bringing this to my attention.
Take advantage and stay listening to find out more!

John is the founder and editor -in -chief of DSOGAMING. He is a fan of PC games and greatly supports modding and independent communities. Before creating dsogaming, John worked on many game websites. Although he is an unconditional PC player, his playing roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and always does it – 16 -bit consoles, and considers SNES as one of the best consoles. However, the PC platform won it over on the consoles. This was mainly due to 3DFX and its emblematic 3D 3D graphics card, Voodoo 2. John also wrote a higher degree thesis on “The evolution of PC graphics cards”.
