SANTA CLARA, Calif., December 5, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — NVIDIA today announced the opening of its first research and development center in Vietnam, demonstrating its confidence in the bright future of artificial intelligence in the country.
The company is collaborating with the Vietnamese government to establish its new Vietnamese research and development center focused on AI. NVIDIA will use the R&D center to focus on software development, capitalizing on the country’s strong STEM engineering talent pool, and to engage industry leaders, startups, government agencies, universities and students to accelerate the adoption of AI.

With the country’s rapid expansion in the technology, automobile, electronics and textile sectors, Vietnam has become one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Its AI market has also grown in recent years, buoyed by technological advancements, government support and greater integration of AI across various industries. Since 2021, Vietnam has been promoting the development of AI as part of its digital transformation strategy with the aim of fostering innovation, building a robust AI ecosystem and positioning the country as a regional leader in R&D.
