Italian start-up Quindi announced the completion of the first tranche of a seed funding round, securing €525,000 to develop its AI production co-pilot.
The investment was led by Open Venture, a venture capital vehicle specializing in industrial innovation within the Open Advisory ecosystem and ELIS Group. The round also saw the participation of Considi SpA, a consultancy focused on industrial operations. This funding allows Quindi to advance the development of its AI-based production co-pilot, expand its team and initiate international expansion.
Fabio OscariCEO and co-founder of Quindi, highlighted the strategic value of the partnership with Open Venture: “The partnership between Quindi and Open Venture was born spontaneously, from industrial knowledge which gave rise to a mutual and natural rapprochement. Quindi looks for three fundamental characteristics in a partner: expertise, dialogue and vision. Open Venture professionals immediately demonstrated their capabilities and the conversation with them was always aimed at creating value. Above all, Open Venture shares our vision and ambition: to give manufacturing companies both strength and agility through technology, while always keeping in mind that, at the heart of economic performance, are people and environment.»
The startup’s founding team, made up of the CEO Fabio OscariTechnical Director Simone MintoDirector of Operations Luca Barbazzaand responsible for growth Alberto Frisonbrings its expertise in AI, mechatronics and production systems.
Founded in 2022, Quindi seeks to transform smart manufacturing with its Production Copilot, an advanced AI solution that integrates machine, order and personnel data to optimize production workflows. By leveraging real-time data and proprietary algorithms, the platform allows companies to manage production events, such as machine anomalies or staff absences. Operators receive targeted instructions to resolve issues, while production managers can replan workflows to minimize disruption and waste.
This approach aligns with the principles of Industry 5.0, combining operational efficiency with a human-centered and sustainable approach.
Quindi’s technology has already been implemented by manufacturers such as Bianchi Bicycles and EPTA Group. Open Venture’s funding will enable the company to refine its AI algorithms, improve its data integration capabilities and scale its operations. The funds will also support marketing efforts and Quindi’s planned entry into the European and US markets by 2025. The startup plans to double its team by then, bringing together specialists in manufacturing, AI and operations.
“Innovation is part of Considi’s DNA, and Quindi is tangible proof of it,” underlines
Gianni Dal Pozzofounder and CEO of Considi SpA “Our partnership has proven its success on the market: we rely on our respective skills to enable the transition of manufacturing companies to Industry 5.0, by putting people at the heart of industrial activity.
processes and technologies at their service. The entry of Open Venture into the capital of Quindi represents a new step in the common journey to become the benchmark in Made in Italy technological consulting, helping Italian companies seize the opportunities offered by digital technologies.»
Open Venture, represented on the Quindi board of directors by its president Virginie Filippialso expressed confidence in the startup’s mission and impact: “Optimizing processes by rethinking instructions based on accurate, organized data allows businesses to reduce waste. In this sense, becoming a Quindi partner allows us to make a significant contribution, focusing on organizations and people, but also achieving energy savings that translate into a positive impact on the environment.
Quindi plans to close a second tranche of financing by 2025 to further develop its position in smart manufacturing and digital transformation.
