Style DNAA fashion stylist application fed in AI, creates a personalized style profile from a single selfie. The application is particularly useful for people interested in seasonal color analysis, a process used to determine the best colors to complete the complexion of an individual. This service can be expensive, experts invoicing more than $ 300. However, the use of AI has the potential to considerably reduce the cost.
By analyzing your complexion and your facial characteristics, style DNA can determine your type of seasonal color (such as light summer or dark fall) and recommend appropriate clothing styles.
In addition, the application offers features such as personalized purchasing recommendations and wardrobe management. It can suggest outfits depending on your size and body type, as well as articles in your existing wardrobe, which you can scan with your phone camera and download on the platform. The application can even help prevent pulse purchases while shopping by allowing you to take photos of clothes and give advice.
“(DNA style) generates personalized recommendations according to the appearance of an individual rather than predicting what users will buy according to their trade history. We therefore raise this personalization in real time and normalize the data by a simple selfie,” said co -founder Elena Volkova in Techcrunch.
The application recently integrated a generative AI into its product, launching a new chatbot assistant that acts as your personal stylist. You can ask specific questions about what to wear for different events or, for example, which colors work best with green freight pants.
DNA style suggests its market clothes of more than 150 retailers – H&M, Zara, Old Navy, Urban Outfitters and more – and associates it with items that you already have to create a personalized outfit that is aimed at your appearance and your personal preferences.

As explained by Volkova, the approach is similar to RAG (increased recovery generation), which consists in combining large -language models (LLM) with traditional databases. In this case, DNA style is formed using information such as current fashion trends, expertise in professional image consultants and a set of data from millions of images to help AI understand the fabrics and understand what the different models and cuts on various body types look like. Style DNA uses Chatgpt 4.0 as its LLM.
The company has other plans in the pipeline, including the release of a male version of the application and a new functionality which recommends outfits according to the location of the user and the current weather conditions.
Since its launch in 2022, DNA Style has raised 3.2 million downloads, more than 300,000 active users and 70,000 paying subscribers. The company previously obtained 3.4 million euros in pre-series financing of Black River Ventures, and takes place a crowdfunding campaign.
You can download the application to The App Store And Google Play Store.
