

The three main mobile operators in South Korea – SK Telecom, KT Corp. And LG Uplus – should compete with the innovations of artificial intelligence at the Mobile World Congress 2025, the largest telecommunications exhibition in the world, planned in Barcelona, Spain, Mars, March in the world 3-6.
This MWC theme of this year is “Converge, Connect, Create”, according to industry sources on Monday. The theme reflects the commitment of the industry to integrate and connect various mobile technologies via AI to create new generation solutions.
The main subjects of the exhibition include fifth generation inside, Connect X, AI, the reinvented company, game changers and our digital DNA, describing the future of mobile industry.
Until last year, only SK Telecom and KT had exhibition halls at the MWC. However, LG Uplus will establish a dedicated stand for the first time this year, demonstrating its commitment to competition for AI.
The directors general of the three carriers-Ryu Young-Sang of Sk Telecom, Kim Young-Shub of KT and Hong Bum-Shik of LG Uplus-will be present at the event, revealing their visions for the transformation of AI while promoting Collaboration with Global Tech Giants.
SK will present its innovations under the theme “AI innovative, accelerating the future”. The company will present improved telecommunications services in AI, solutions from the AI data center and autonomous robots, highlighting its industry applications. A key objective will be its AI data center solutions, with integrated technologies linked to memory and security.
In addition, it will set up a dedicated area highlighting semiconductor technologies developed under the umbrella of the SK group. This space will include advanced products such as fifth generation HBM3E chips of SK Hynix and solid high performance players for data centers, alongside technologies of the neuronal processing unit optimized by inference, a company , strategically supported by SK Telecom.


As a member of the GSMA board of directors, the World Association organizing the MWC, KT will actively participate in discussions on telecommunications and network policy. The company will present the “K-Office” concept, modeled after its Seoul office building, to demonstrate its AI solutions specific to Korea to improve work efficiency.
Participants may experience first -hand solutions fed by AI for market analysis, GPU allocation, monitoring carbon emissions and customer service optimization. KT will also host a startup stand, with innovations from partner startups in future networks and 5G precision positioning technologies.
LG will mark its very first solo exhibition at the MWC25, focusing on “an intelligence of trust”. The company will unveil AI-centered solutions with improved security, including its AI IXI O agent. The voice IXI-GEN and the anti-production voice specialized by telecommunications, a technology designed to detect deep voices and prevent Vocal phishing scams.
The company will also present IXI Future City, an installation presenting lifestyle transformations focused on AI. This exhibition will illustrate how the AI technology of LG Uplus, IXI, helps customers take daily challenges while promoting a more sustainable future.
