Phoenix (Azfamily) – There is a new trend using Chatppt where people use AI to create a version of figure of themselves.
AI dolls are completed with accessories related to your work, your interests or your hobbies. But to give what you look like with personal information could create security problems.
David Norlin, director of technology of Lumifi cybersecurityjoined Good Morning Arizona on Tuesday to give an overview of the experts.
“The AI has gone a long way, and I think there are a lot of people who somehow jump on the train to get involved with him and see what he can do,” said Nortin. “We now have the ability to create a figure version of ourselves, which is fun and there is a novelty, then we have this desire to go and share it with others.”
But it is not without risk and could open the door to data collectors and bad players.
“You have to give him a lot of information about yourself, your interests, your hobbies. And all these things can be used to potentially interact with you in a social engineering frame or scam,” he said. “And now, as we publish this information on social networks, it is available so that others can see it, so it can be potentially invasive if you don’t know what you are doing.
Norlin says that AI will become more widespread in our daily life, and users should be cautious when they decide how to engage with.
“He’s not a person, and that doesn’t know you, at least not yet, so don’t give him personal information, don’t give him personal health information, financial things,” he said. “Things you wouldn’t say to a stranger, don’t say it to AI.”
