San Francisco,, March 6, 2025 / Prnewswire / – AssistantThe main platform for managing global workforce for hourly work, has today published its annual report, The Big Shift: How the generation Z rewrites the time rules Workhighlighting the evolution of the dynamics of time labor. The report examines the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in quarter-work work, the emergence of micro-decaling and the economic forces that shape industries such as hospitality, retail, health care and services. Directed in partnership with Dr. Shashi Karunanehythy, chief economist of Geografia, the results provide critical information on how workers and time companies are adapted to today’s economic landscape.
A decisive trend in this year’s report is the rise of “micro -decaling” – short and flexible changes (six hours or less) to balance the needs of employees and the workplace. While the cost of living continues to increase, more workers, including students, caregivers and those who have several jobs, use micro-change to maintain stability while managing other responsibilities.
“The hourly workforce evolves as generation Z becomes its greatest segment, resulting in a major transformation in the way the work is structured,” said Silvija MarcinCEO of the deputy. “Micro -discallations do not consist in working less – they work more intelligently. Today workers, in particular generation Z, the priority of flexibility and companies that embrace this change will have a competitive advantage in the attraction and retention of talents. At the same time, we see that the AI is improving – not to replace – Shift Work, by optimizing the planning and improving integration of work.
Results and key data of The Big Shift: How the Z generation rewrites the time work rules include:
- Micro-discallates are remodeling hourly work. Currently, micro-disclaims are the most popular in the hotel and services industries where there are fewer regulatory constraints than in sectors such as health care. The Alpha generation and baby boomers have the shortest average lag times, highlighting an unexploited opportunity for companies to hire these workers. At the same time, the gap of almost 11% in the participation of American workforce between men and women – largely pulled by a lack of flexibility – highlights the need to change. The micro-discallations offer a convincing solution, allowing workers to create schedules around the provision of care and other responsibilities, promoting greater economic inclusion while helping businesses access a wider talent basin.
- AI improves speed change work, not elimination. 63% of quarter -work workers positively consult the implementation of AI in their workflows – against 30% the previous year. Among large retailers and logistics companies, 82% now use planning led by AI, 45% of workers reporting a better balance between professional and privacy.
- Gen Z writes the future of hourly work. Now the largest generation of time labor, 29% of workers in generation Z are actively looking for a job, while 32% focus on career increase in their current roles. Their main priorities are competitive wages and a positive work culture. Although small, Gen Alpha entered the job market in 2024 and should exceed generation Z by 2038.
- Women dominate the quarter work but face wage disparities. Women constitute the majority of workers in the quarter work, but remain concentrated in less paid service jobs. In particular, young women (68% Gen Z, 25% of millennials) represent most of the poly-workmen, balancing several jobs to manage costs of costs. MP’s data also revealed that women also transit to traditional male predominance quarter work areas, such as logistics.
“The results in the large quarter of work: the United States 2025 reveals a fundamental transformation of the way in which the Americans are approaching all time work,” said Dr. Shashi Karunanehy. “Economic pressures, the change in demography of the workforce and the rapid AI progress is to reshape the labor market in real time. economy.”
