The investment can be down, but cross -border payments still see new startups emerging regularly. We examine the trends of companies recently established to understand where the industry is going.

Although VC investments can be down between fintech and beyond, including in cross-border payments, there are still new companies that emerge regularly, which are aimed at niches and specific markets through the complete spectrum of industry.
Developing solutions to gaps perceived in the payment space, some of these startups are likely to become major players, while others may have trouble taking momentum or being acquired at an early stage. Whatever their ultimate destination, these companies and trends through them, give an idea of the place where new development is focused and therefore give an indication where industry could be in the future.
In this report, we examine trends among cross -border payment startups by analyzing the companies founded in space since the beginning of 2022. To do this, we focused on companies in the “Payments” or “Mobile payments section »Of Crunchbase which were listed as assets. From there, we have refined the list to include only those that work mainly in or with a significant accent on cross -border payments, as well as on those which are not a functional website. This led to a list of 86 cross -border payment startups founded since the beginning of 2022, which we analyzed to identify key trends and concentrations.
