Now in its second year, the conference—backed by Accenture and Google—brings together leaders from some of the most innovative companies in the world to share their strategies for implementing AI solutions.
Organized by the Dallas Regional Chamber, Convergence AI has expanded to two days, starting April 30, and features expert keynotes, Fortune 1000 speakers, breakout sessions, table talks, an exhibit hall and many opportunities to network.
The first speakers announced include Tracy Ring, the chief data officer and global generative AI lead for life sciences at Accenture; David Tsai, the chief technology officer at Toyota Connected North America; Kapil Lahoti, chief digital and technology officer, global workforce solutions at CBRE; and Manoj Saxena, founder and executive chairman at the Responsible AI Institute. More than 50 experts are scheduled to speak over both days of the conference.
Jorge Corral, who leads data and AI for Accenture’s Resources Industry group, said, “At the Convergence AI Conference, we were able to bring the innovation community together. We had speakers from different industries and different technology backgrounds and saw how companies are applying AI with real-life demos. Really bringing it to life.”
The DRC is building on the success of last year’s conference, which drew more than 650 attendees, and expanding it to two days, April 30 and May 1.
This year’s conference will feature the debut of Convergence Labs—an interactive experience where attendees can take part in breakout sessions led by some of the region’s top AI minds. Also new is the University Summit, shining a spotlight on groundbreaking research at area universities and highlighting opportunities for collaboration between faculty and industry leaders.
In partnership with Dallas Innovates, a new group of 75 AI leaders will be recognized at a special reception on April 30. The AI75 celebrates the visionaries, creators, and influencers fueling the growth of artificial intelligence in Dallas-Fort Worth. Meanwhile, as part of an expanded exhibit hall, Startup Alley will showcase emerging AI startups from across the region.
Held at the Irving Convention Center, the conference will be part informational and part relationship-building.
“Convergence AI is about moving beyond the hype and focusing on the real impact of AI in business,” said Duane Dankesreiter, senior vice president of research and innovation at the Dallas Regional Chamber. “At the DRC, we’re committed to fostering collaboration among companies to navigate both the opportunities and challenges of this technology. This event is designed to be a learning experience for today’s innovators and tomorrow’s industry leaders.”
The conference is expected to attract hundreds of leaders—from the C-suite to entrepreneurs—for networking and idea-sharing.
“DFW is establishing itself as a leader in applied AI, and this event is all about bringing people together to learn, collaborate, and drive innovation forward,” Dankesreiter said. “We’re excited to see the ideas and connections that emerge from this year’s discussions.”
