The first large global theme park based on robots arrives in Incheon, South Korea. Earthworks has already lifted more than 784.5 billion wons (~ 680 million USD) to create the installation of more than 100 acres which will include theme attractions, a water park, a residential / commercial space and professional areas for research ( as reported in Korea Herald). Located to innovate in November 2010, Robot Land will be put online in May 2012, with a large -scale opening in 2013.

This thing will fill robots wherever you look. There will be exhibition halls for popular robot franchises (Astroboy, Star Wars, Transformers, etc.), the recreation of cinema trays (I-Robot, Matrix, Minority Report), and many rides and shows. According to Robot Land’s website, the park will set out robot cashiers, robotic performance and purchase on the theme of robots. There will even be a stadium for Robotic competition. We have artist batteries rendered for all the incredible attractions that Robot Land will include, from an aquarium full of controllable robot fish, to a roller coaster plunging into the water. Check these images and you will understand why Robot Land expects to receive some 2.8 million visitors per year.
Part of what makes the terrestrial robot so interesting is that it will contain spaces for many different uses. Where could you plan to put on a giant robot arm as a roller coaster and see a research center with engineers from the National University of Seoul in the same place?

Usually when robots arrive, human jobs are lost. However, Robot Land hopes to create some 18,000 new opportunities for human workers. This explains why local and national governments have contributed millions of dollars in funding. Although the majority of property finances in robots (~ 90%) have always been noted from private sources.

Robot Land is another sign that humans accept and enjoy a world full of robots. It is also one of the first large -scale manifestations of what you could call the “culture of robot lovers”. Like the World Expo, Robot Land could be used to provide a promising vision of the future. The question of whether these promises will be held or not is always uncertain. It is possible that children (and adults) who frequent robot terrains will be part of the generation that helps create the next series of powerful thinking machines. At the very least, Robot Land will serve as a beautiful appreciation token for our new suzerains after the robot uprising.
