Dade Moeller, an environmental service company based in Richland, Washingt. , Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The subject of education Stem took the front of the stage in California, with a working group on the question convened by the restricted committee of the assembly of the State on the increase in the integration of STEMs in the ‘education. One of the main recommendations of the working group in the superintendent state of Tom Torlakson public education is to start building the basics of STEM learning in the early years.
“With the roots of education and training, Dade Moeller is happy to support the learning of STEMs at the Emblem Academy,” said CEO and founder of the company Matt Moeller. “As an employer of staff members who specialize in scientific fields, including radio-security, industrial hygiene and environmental protection, we focus on highly qualified people in Stem subjects, as well as that independent motivated, curious and creative thinkers. Dade Moeller’s donation from the EV3 platform, the most recent generation of Lego robotics technologies, opens the door to other companies sharing the same ideas to join the Emblem Academy robotics program. Lego robotics programs are well known to provide a practical basis for STEM concepts such as IT, engineering and mathematics, as well as to feed the relevant skills by STEMs such as problem solving, creativity, cooperation and prototyping.
With the inaugural donation of Dade Moeller, as well as a recent contribution from a local company in Santa Clarita, Emblem Academy has now enough Lego delay sets for one of the upper classrooms to be used. Pulling this momentum, the director of the Emblem Academy, Jon G. Baker, is now looking to obtain additional grants and business donations to bring Lego robotics to more emblematic classrooms, including in primary classes via LEGO “Wedo” sets. With enough “wedo” deaths and sets, Baker would offer a robotic “Steminar” “Steminar” course with primary and upper classes, as well as to establish an emblem team of the Academy to participate in local and national robotics competitions.
“The LEGO Mindstorms and ‘Wedo’ robotics sets offer such an incredible opportunity to bring real robotics technology into the hands of our students,” said Baker. “Not only will they enrich our STEM program, but they will also provide the practical inspiration and motivation that many children need to understand and fully integrate scientific concepts. We appreciate the contribution by Dade Moeller so much of the first set of deaths in our school, and I hope that other companies – locally or beyond – join us to bring this advanced educational resource to the Santa Clarita valley . »»
