Automation activated by intelligent robots will allow massive expansion of production capacity in all industries, and China is currently “the only country that is positioned” to reach a high level of automation, according to a report published this week by the independent research company based in the United States.
“The location effort of China robotics is in progress,” said the report. He pointed out that the share of Chinese manufacturers on the largest robotics market in the world approached 50%, compared to 30% in 2020.
“While Chinese manufacturers are currently tied with Western giants on the low -end market, our supply chain examination leads us to believe that local businesses are starting to resume high -end market segments.”
If China achieves large-scale automation “without the United States, it would constitute” an existential threat “for the greatest economy in the world, according to the report. This scenario would see China benefit from a “massive expansion of production capacities (in various industries) supported by intelligent robotics systems”.
