G42 is an Abu Dhabi AI holding company chaired by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, the UAE's national security adviser, and led by CEO Peng Xiao. Microsoft invested $1.5 billion in it in 2024. With OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, Cisco and SoftBank it is building Stargate UAE, a 1-gigawatt AI campus whose first 200-megawatt phase is due in 2026.
