Your starting point is freedom. People should be able to build, run and use AI as they see fit, as long as they don't directly harm others.
You're wary of governments using safety as a reason to license, monitor or restrict a general-purpose technology, and of incumbents who'd welcome rules that lock out competitors. Markets, courts and existing laws, in your view, handle harms better than new bureaucracies.
You're less interested in grand visions of AI transforming civilization than in keeping the field open for anyone to try.
