About
Aidan Gomez co-wrote 'Attention Is All You Need', the 2017 paper that introduced the Transformer architecture behind today's language models, while an intern at Google Brain. He co-founded Cohere in Toronto in 2019 to build AI for businesses and governments. In April 2026 Cohere agreed to acquire Germany's Aleph Alpha.
Gomez argues for practical, privacy-preserving enterprise AI and has called near-term existential-risk fears a distraction from real harms.
