Do you support C.C. Wei's overall direction for AI?
The trend line appears after a few days of voting.
C.C. Wei joined TSMC in 1998, became CEO in 2018 and chairman in 2024. TSMC manufactures nearly all of the world's most advanced AI chips. Wei has said demand for AI chips will exceed supply for years, and raised TSMC's 2026 capital spending to as much as $64 billion.
Every frontier model depends on chips made in TSMC's fabs, which makes Wei's capacity decisions, and Taiwan's security, a bottleneck for the entire AI industry.
Estimated AI ideology
Wei rarely comments on AI policy. This estimate rests on his view that AI demand is structural and long-term, and on TSMC's role in supplying it.
