Do you support Elon Musk's overall direction for AI?
The trend line appears after a few days of voting.
Elon Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015, left its board in 2018 and later sued the company over its shift toward profit. He founded xAI in 2023 to build the Grok models and merged it into SpaceX in February 2026. He also leads Tesla, whose self-driving and Optimus humanoid-robot programs are among the biggest bets on real-world AI, and co-founded the brain-interface company Neuralink.
Musk is at once one of AI's loudest risk-warners and one of its fastest builders, and he controls an unusual stack: frontier models, a social network, rockets, satellites, cars and robots.
Estimated AI ideology
Musk has warned for over a decade that AI could be humanity's greatest existential threat, signed the 2023 call to pause giant AI experiments and backed California's SB 1047 safety bill. He has also built compute faster than anyone and argues for human–AI symbiosis through Neuralink. This estimate weighs what he builds more heavily than what he warns about.
