About
Kai-Fu Lee led research and products at Apple, Microsoft and Google, where he founded Google China, before starting the venture firm Sinovation Ventures in 2009. He founded 01.AI in 2023; after moving its pre-training teams to Alibaba Cloud in late 2024, it refocused on enterprise AI agents and is preparing a Hong Kong IPO. His books 'AI Superpowers' and 'AI 2041' shaped the global debate on US–China AI competition.
Lee is one of the few AI voices respected in both Silicon Valley and China, and has long warned that AI will displace many white-collar jobs.
