Do you support Sam Altman's overall direction for AI?
The trend line appears after a few days of voting.
Sam Altman co-founded OpenAI in 2015 and has led it as CEO since 2019, overseeing the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022 and the GPT model family through GPT-6 in 2026. Before OpenAI he was president of the startup accelerator Y Combinator. In November 2023 OpenAI's board briefly removed him as CEO; he was reinstated days later.
As head of the company that brought generative AI to the mainstream, Altman is one of the most influential voices on how fast AGI should arrive and who should govern it. In October 2026 he argued the world should accept some harms in exchange for AI's benefits, sharpening a public split with Anthropic over regulation.
Estimated AI ideology
Based on Altman's framing of AGI as a civilization-scale transformation to be deployed broadly and iteratively, and his recent opposition to heavier regulation. In 2023 he backed licensing for frontier models, a position closer to the AI Technocrat.
