Do you support PewDiePie's overall direction for AI?
The trend line appears after a few days of voting.
Felix Kjellberg, known as PewDiePie, built one of the largest channels in YouTube history, with more than 110 million subscribers. Since 2025 he has documented building his own AI setup, running and fine-tuning open models on home hardware. On 31 May 2026 he released Odysseus, a free, self-hosted AI workspace under the AGPL license, which passed 74,000 GitHub stars in about three weeks.
Kjellberg brings the case for local, private, user-owned AI to an audience far beyond the tech world, arguing that people shouldn't have to hand their data to big AI companies to use AI.
Estimated AI ideology
Based on Odysseus's local-first, no-telemetry design and Kjellberg's videos about self-hosting AI instead of relying on cloud providers.
