Google launches Gemini agent for businesses that plans and carries out tasks
At a Google Cloud event, Google announced a unified Gemini agent that takes objectives, plans the work, and acts across business systems. It has its own Workspace account and email address, can delegate to subagents, and lets users pick models, starting with Anthropic's Claude. Consumers come later.
Why it matters
AI tools are shifting from answering questions to completing tasks inside company systems, and Google is starting with businesses before consumers.
